A high definition 3-D visual representation of your eye is created using iDesign® Refractive Studio technology, measuring the unique imperfections of each eye. Dr. Wiens personally reviews and then creates a fully customized treatment for your eyes.
The corneal flap is created using IntraLase® which is proven to reduce most flap complications associated with blade procedures. The underlying cornea is then precisely reshaped using an excimer laser to correct your vision using the VISX® Star S4 IR™ technology.
The corneal flap is then repositioned back into place and adheres accurately due to the customized precision of the IntraLase® procedure.

What to Expect
The actual laser procedure usually takes less than a minute on each eye, but you still may be in the office for several hours.
Many patients will initially notice haloes, sometimes even during the day. Night haloes may be worse while you are using the medicated drops during the first week following surgery. Once you discontinue the drops, night vision starts to improve. Haloes are usually resolved by one month however, in some patients, this can take longer.
