Intralasik

Advances in laser technology have made it possible to create the flap with a femtosecond laser and eliminate the blade in LASIK surgery. This femtosecond laser advancement is IntraLase®. At IMAGE PLUS, IntraLase® has been the preferred technique to create a LASIK flap since 2004.

Creating the LASIK flap with IntraLase®, a computer-controlled laser, allows surgeons to tailor the corneal flap for each individual patient and each individual eye. Due to its more consistent accuracy, IntraLase® may make LASIK a possible option even for patients who previously didn’t qualify.

Traditional LASIK surgery continues to have proven results and few complications. IntraLase®, however, provides further improvement in safety and precision, while providing predictably better visual results for patients.
